This video demonstrates the technical aspects involved in a reoperative approach to the aortic root, ascending aorta and aortic arch. Cannulation strategies, pump management and valve/conduit choices are highlighted. The nature of this procedure is further complicated by its reoperative nature, demonstrating that inadequately tested procedures – such as aortic valve repair – and incomplete primary procedures, ignoring the entire pathology (in this case the aneurysmal root, ascending aorta and aortic arch) should be avoided.
