About
am a Stage 3 graduate medicine student and am naturally passionate about human health, disease and medical development. My research background is in Neurophysiology, specifically the use of Neurostimulation to modulate sensory thresholds but I also have valuable experience in qRT-PCR, Western Blots, Immunohistochemistry among other key lab techniques.
I volunteered my time as the Chairperson of my colleges' LGBT Society where I was nominated for Person of the Year at the Society of the Year Awards 2015 and was awarded the Dean of Students Volunteer Leadership Award. I am a confident and knowledgeable leader with experience in research, community organisation, public speaking and presenting, who enjoys working as part of a team.
I scored in the 90th centile in the GAMSAT and am currently a Graduate Medicine Student in my third year in UCD. I am interested in research opportunities in medical research currently and I have full time research experience as gained through my Thesis Research Project which entailed data analysis, statistics, and experimental design.
