I grew up in a small town of Gadsden, Alabama. I went to undergraduate at University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). I then finished my D.O. degree at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Auburn in Auburn, Alabama. I am currently a general surgery resident at UT Houston. Also, I am an active duty captain in the United States Army as part of the HPSP program.
