I graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in the Medical College of the Jagellonian University in 2000 in Krakow and started another job at the University Hospital in Krakow as an intern. From 2001 till now, I have worked in the Department of Cardiovascular Surgery and Transplantology of the Cardiology Institute at the Medical College of the Jagellonian University. I had this opportunity for professional and scientific development while working initially as a junior assistant, and then as a senior assistant and currently as an associate professor. I passed my specialization examinations within cardiac surgery in 2009 ( Board certification in cardiac surgery). Ph.D. degree in medical sciences I obtained in 2010. Doctor’s thesis was elaborated under the auspices of prof. Jerzy Sadowski, M.D., Ph.D. and was finished as “cum laude”. Assoctiate Professor since 2012. Full Professor of mecicine since 2018.
