Current lead for the research project Nursing and Physiotherapy education and training for integration of ultrasound imaging into clinical practice in the Cardiothoracic setting following cardiac surgery.
Research interests include cardiac surgery, lung and sternal ultrasound imaging, sternal closure and postoperative recovery.
Key research focus is of evidence based practice and nurse initiated research resulting in better outcomes for patients.
Current and future research projects are directed at the clinical outcomes for patients following the assessment skill of lung and sternal ultrasound.
