This is a fantastic program. So many civilians don’t understand that in the military we were taught real leadership principles: lead by example, support your team, lead from the front, take total ownership of the result, total integrity, etc. The truth is that real military combat leaders are far more collaborative and horizontal in their leadership style than most surgeons and definitely most hospital administrators. We can learn a lot from the upper echelon of team leaders in our military: the US Special Forces. Lesson #1, we need training in leadership same as these soldiers.
