I routinely use non absorbable v-lock sutures instead of non absorbable suture to tie. also, place intermittent plegets where appears thin, but I will use this technique if not available. Also, I find air seal helpful to not lose insufflation and I make sure to turn it off at end to inspect flattened diaphragm as can be fooled with insufflation on (may leave plication more lax than wanted with it on)
