Surgery in Patients with Borderline Lung Function

Gaetano Rocco of the National Cancer Institute, Naples, Italy, considers the difficulties of treating high-risk patients with surgical lung resections. Dr. Rocco argues that wedge resection remains a valid option for some patients with borderline lung function, and examines the increasing importance of minimally invasive approaches.
