Uniportal VATS Total Lung Sparing Right Main Bronchus Sleeve Resection With Secondary Carinal Reconstruction

Bronchial sleeve resection with end-to-end anastomosis is described as the most complex bronchoplasty procedure (1). Cases performed by an experienced surgeon are either done using double or triple port VATS (2). We are presenting a 38-year-old patient who was referred to our service complaining of 1-month history of hemoptysis. CT scan showed soft tissue lesion mainly seen at the right main bronchus. PET scan done which showed polypoidal endobronchial nodular lesion. Patient was admitted to the hospital and underwent Uniportal VATS sleeve resection of the right main bronchus and second carinal reconstruction. Patient was discharged 3 days postoperatively. In the 6-month follow up, patient was doing well and has no complications postoperatively.
