VATS Left Lower Lobectomy for Bronchiectasis

The authors present a video showing a VATS left lower lobectomy for bronchiectasis. Recurrent infections affecting the left lower lobe of the patient brought about stiff and highly vascularized adhesions, in particular on the diaphragm, and enlarged lymph nodes within the fissure. In a case such as this, pathological enlargement of the bronchial arteries may be beneficial. The employment of an energy device allowed proper dissection and hemostasis in this complex VATS case.
