This video presents the case of a 74-year-old patient, who suffered from recurrent pneumonias due to the presence of bronchiectasis in the lung. The bronchiectasis was located in the anterior segment (S3) of the upper right lobe. At the time of surgery the patient was infection free. Bronchoscopy revealed the presence of an atypical branching in the right upper lobe. There were only two segmental bronchi: the first for the anterior segment, and the second for both the posterior and apical segments. A VATS anatomical resection of the anterior upper lobe segment (S3) was performed.
