Cardiac Arrest in Children Following Cardiac Surgery: A Scoping Review of Contributing Factors

Hospital mortality related to cardiac arrest following congenital/pediatric heart surgery approaches 50%.  This review identifies potentially modifiable risk factors that could reduce the risk of postoperative cardiac arrest and its attendant resource utilization and financial consequences.
