Grant Wahl Died of a Burst Blood Vessel, His Family Says

On December 14, the family of the famous American soccer journalist, Grant Wahl, announced that autopsy confirmed a ruptured aneurysm in the ascending aorta was the reason for Mr. Wahl's sudden death last week at the World Cup in Qatar. 

This tragic case highlights the need for increasing the awareness and surveilance of thoracic aortic aneurysm and dissection in the general public and, particularly, the athletes.
